COURSE DESCRIPTIONS
BASIC PLUS
MEDIC First Aid Basic Plus is a combined adult CPR, AED, and first aid training program designed specifically for the occupational first aid provider. This extremely flexible program will help employers meet OSHA and other federal and state regulatory requirements for training employees how to respond and care for medical emergencies at work. This program conforms to the 2015 AHA Guidelines Update for CPR and ECC and the 2015 AHA and ARC Guidelines Update for First Aid.
Occupational first aid providers who are not healthcare providers or professional rescuers.
Written Evaluation: Required when specified by organizational, local, or state regulation.
Skills Evaluation: Students must perform required skills competently without assistance.
PEDIATRIC PLUS
MEDIC First Aid PediatricPlus CPR, AED, and First Aid for Children, Infants, and Adults provides an ideal training solution for schools, child care providers, youth sports coaches, and others required to learn how to respond to medical emergencies involving children. This versatile program is based upon the 2010 CPR and First Aid Guidelines, Caring for Our Children, 3rd Ed; and other evidence-based treatment recommendations.
Individuals who desire or are required to be certified in Pediatric First Aid, CPR, and AED, such as:
Written Evaluation: Required when specified by organizational, local, or state regulation. It is recommended for designated responders with a duty or employer expectation to respond in an emergency and provide first aid care.
Skills Evaluation: Students must perform required skills competently without assistance.
Successful completion is based on achievement of the core learning objectives rather than a prescribed instruction time.
CARE PLUS
MEDIC First Aid Care Plus is a combined adult, child, and infant CPR and AED program designed specifically for persons who are occupationally required or just desire to have CPR and AED knowledge and skills. The program is based upon the 2015 International Consensus on Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and Emergency Cardiovascular Care (ECC) Science with Treatment Recommendations (COSTR) and other evidence-based treatment recommendations.
Written Evaluation: Required when specified by organizational, local, or state regulation. It is recommended for designated responders with a duty or employer expectation to respond in an emergency and provide first aid care.
Skills Evaluation: Students must perform required skills competently without assistance.
EMERGENCY OXYGEN
Serious and life-threatening medical emergencies often cause oxygen to be depleted in the body leaving the victim at risk for shock. The MEDIC First Aid Emergency Oxygen program focuses on administering emergency oxygen to breathing and non-breathing persons, emergency oxygen delivery systems, and integrating pulse oximetry.
Individuals who desire or are required to be trained in the administration of emergency oxygen
Current CPR or CPR and first aid certification

CHILD/INFANT CPR AND AED
Child/Infant CPR and AED Supplement is designed to give students the knowledge and skills necessary to manage a cardiac arrest emergency for children and infants. This supplement program should be used in conjunction with MEDIC First Aid BasicPlus CPR, AED, and First Aid for Adults.
Individuals who require or desire certification in Child and Infant CPR and AED.
